Meet Dean and Lori: The Heart Behind Gingerovka
In 2011 Dean Selby and Lori Wyant opened The Tavern, a lively neighborhood joint serving American smash-style burgers, creative cocktails, and a great selection of Czech craft brews served by the (mostly) friendliest staff in town.
Dean was a lifelong chef born in New York with a love of American cusine and BBQ, and Lori a bartender with roots in the south, Kentucky, with a love of all things mixable. She originally created Gingerovka to compliment her signature cocktails at their gastropub.
One day the couple wondered how they could share their special ginger-fueled hooch, and they sought out the wonderful folk at LANDCRAFT, a truly special artisinal distillery, which became Gingerovka’s first commercial producer in 2025.
